City of Wheaton issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
St. Michael Catholic Church will be holding its annual Parish Ice Cream Social on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Willow Avenue will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic at Wheaton Avenue and at West Street and will reopen after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
During this time motorists may wish to choose an alternative route to avoid delays.
Wheaton police officers will monitor the area during this event.
