How much has Darien SD 61 overspent over the past 10 years?

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Darien SD 61 reported 11.8 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went down 7.6 percent. The resulting deficit shrunk by 99.8 percent from 2008 to 2017.
