Madigan spends $45K in July to boost Glen Ellyn Democrat State House hopeful Howard

Illinois House Speaker and Democrat Party Chairman Michael J. Madigan (D-Chicago) has reported $45,000 in July contributions to Terra Costa Howard, a Democrat running for the Illinois House of Representatives against incumbent Rep. Peter Breen (R-Lombard).

The payments of $24,441 on July 15 and $21,108 on July 22 were to a Philadelphia printer in support of Howard's campaign, as reported by the Illinois Democratic Party to the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

The contributions bring Madigan's total support of Howard to $72,550.

Howard raised $8,025 in the second quarter from non-Madigan contributors, according to her June 30 ISBE filing

Other Howard contributors include the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers ($500), the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers ($500), the Painters District Council Labor Union ($250), and $1,000 from Judith Costa of Glen Ellyn, the candidate's mother.
