Addison School District 4 recently issued the following announcement.
The Dupage County Sheriff’s Office is having their annual Safety Saturday event on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 from 10am-3pm at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.
This is a safety fair for children of all ages and adults. It is a free, non-profit event featuring first responders from Dupage County including police vehicles and fire apparatus along with numerous exhibits related to safety. During the event, there will be jail tours available along with interactive displays with Dupage County Crime Lab and the Forensics Division. The SWAT team will be challenging youths to an obstacle course, face painting, dunk tank, Star Wars characters and Superheroes characters, food trucks, helicopters landing, etc.
This is a great opportunity for area residents, especially children, to connect with emergency personnel and learn about the many duties they perform.
