ELMHURST PARK DISTRICT: Conrad Fischer Park equipment installation almost complete

Local Government

By Press release submission | Jul 10, 2018

Mesa

Elmhurst Park District issued the following announcement on July 3.

The playground equipment at the Conrad Fischer playground has been assembled and set and concrete footings were poured. The installation of safety surfacing will begin soon.

The tennis courts in the park are also being redeveloped. The courts will be resurfaced, repainted and restriped to provide several sport opportunities.

After gathering community input, staff determined that converting the two existing tennis courts and one roller hockey court to one tennis court, one futsal court and two half basketball courts would provide more recreational opportunities for the neighborhood.

The membrane material for the new surface of the Conrad Fischer tennis courts is being installed and color coating should begin soon, weather permitting.

Work at the park is expected to be completed by August 2018.
