City of Wheaton issued the following announcement on July 9.

Nicor Gas will be installing new natural gas main and gas lines connecting to properties in some areas in Wheaton starting in late July. This is part of a multi-year project to replace aging natural gas infrastructure.

Areas affected include:

• 902-907 N Cross Street
• 122-426 E Harrison Avenue
• 903 Lexington Street
• 819 & 903 N Main Street
• 902-903 N Scott Street
• 831 N Washington Street

In preparation for this work, Nicor and its contractor, NPL, will also be inspecting sewers, identifying new meter locations. At the conclusion of the work, Nicor will restore landscaping and paving impacted by their construction.

Residents affected by this work will receive more information from Nicor about this work.
