CITY OF WEST CHICAGO: West Chicago Railroad Days Pulls Into Town on Thursday

City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on July 9.

All aboard for an incredible line-up of FREE entertainment, great food, a parade, a carnival, and fun for the whole family; West Chicago’s Railroad Days pulls into town on Thursday July 12, 2018 at Pioneer Park, 479 W. Forest Avenue.

The four-day event that runs through Sunday, July 15, 2018, includes a main stage for scheduled musical performances, craft and merchant vendors, great food choices and an awesome assortment of carnival rides and games for all ages.

The main stage lineup offers a great mix of bands including The G Band on Thursday night, OMT and the Rack & The Riddler on Friday, Beggars Banquet, Journeyman and Shining Star on Saturday, and Sammy & the Knights and Latin Groove on Sunday. Special wrist band ride discounts for the carnival will be offered Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 1:00 – 11:00 p.m., and again on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:30 – 10:00 p.m.; and an absolute community favorite, the Railroad Days Parade, steps off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018.

The 2018 Parade theme, One West Chicago, Many People, Many Cultures will feature a variety of creative parade units by local groups showcasing their enthusiasm for our community’s diversity.

Attendees of Railroad Days on all dates can look forward to a wide variety of great food from regional and local restaurants; both ethnic and American comfort foods.

The 2018 West Chicago Railroad Days is sponsored by the City of West Chicago and is planned and managed by the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce. All vendor inquiries should be directed to the Festival website, www.westerndupagechamber.com, or at (630) 231-3003 during regular business hours.
