City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on July 3.
Mayor Ruben Pineda has recognized the efforts of the many residents, business and intergovernmental leaders, and service club members who make up the City’s America in Bloom Committee and who have been enthusiastically working toward an official designation by the national organization, through a Proclamation read at the City Council meeting of Monday, July 2, 2018.
The Proclamation outlines the mission of America in Bloom and the benefits such a designation would bring to the City. It lists the various judging categories for which the City will be rated by expert judges on July 26 – 27, 2018, and encourages residents to get involved by supporting the efforts of the Committee by beautifying their home gardens.
