Village of Itasca issued the following announcement on June 20.
Enjoy the largest fireworks in the Chicago area at Hamilton Lakes, Itasca. Live music begins at 7pm with Pat McKillen and continues at 8pm with Maggie Speaks with guests Fran and Anton Cosmo. Admission to the event is free. On-site parking is $25 per car.
The Independence Day celebration begins at 4 p.m. with music by Pat McKillen at 7 p.m. followed at 8 p.m. by Maggie Speaks, a dynamic cover band that has become a Chicago favorite. Fran and Anton Cosmo, former singer and guitarist of Boston, will sit in with Maggie Speaks during their performance of six songs. During their celebrity sit-in, they will perform More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay / Long Time, Smokin, Rock and Roll Band and Don’t Look Back.
Several restaurants will offer a wide variety of picnic-style items and the Itasca Brewing Company will operate a craft beer tent.
Admission to the event is free. On-site parking is available for $25 a car.
The fireworks are presented by the Village of Itasca and Hamilton Partners, Inc.
