Report: Salt Creek spent $18,654 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Salt Creek School District 48 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $17,863 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,654 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 471 to 503.

Salt Creek's spending in 2016-17 was 44 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
