Report: DuPage spent $18,404 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at DuPage High School District 88 is up 12 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $16,401 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,404 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4056 to 3973.

DuPage's spending in 2016-17 was 42 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
