Report: Cass spent $13,626 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Cass School District 63 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $11,999 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,626 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 768 to 771.

Cass's spending in 2016-17 was 5 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
