CITY OF NAPERVILLE: Public Meeting Scheduled for 95th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvements

Meeting372

City of Naperville issued the following announcement on May 9.

The City of Naperville is hosting a public meeting to introduce the 95th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvement Project to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22 at the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the planning process, schedule and participation opportunities to the public regarding the 95th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvement Project, and to gather community input on transportation issues and concerns within this area. The City has identified construction needs at this intersection to improve traffic flow, which will in turn reduce traffic congestion and delay.

Anticipated improvements may include creating additional through lanes and turn lanes and making modifications to the existing traffic signals at the intersection. Preliminary engineering to assess existing conditions and determine optimal improvements is taking place throughout 2018. Construction is currently planned for 2021.

For those who cannot attend the May 22 public meeting, comments will be accepted through Tuesday, June 5. Please email Project Engineer Kelly Dunne at dunnek@naperville.il.us with any feedback. All comments received will be considered part of the public record.

A second public meeting will take place at a later date to present the proposed intersection improvements. For updates on the 95th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvement Project, please visit www.naperville.il.us/95thbook.
