Bloomingdale School District 13 issued the following announcement on May 1.
Bloomingdale School District 13 is excited to announce our use of an Online Student Registration / data validation system for the upcoming school year. This online process replaces all the paper student registration and permission forms that you have completed in previous years for your students that are returning to SD13 schools.
The Online Registration process will be open for your use the first week of June, 2018.
You will be able to access the online system through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. A letter, containing instructions and your child(ren)’s access ID, will be mailed to each SD13 family during the last two weeks of May, 2018.
In preparation for the Online Registration process opening in June, we encourage all parents to follow the instructions contained in the letter so you will be ready to register your students online in a quick and easy manner.
If you do not have a home computer, the Parent Portal and Online Registration systems are mobile friendly, so they are accessible using your smartphone. If necessary, you can contact your child’s school to make an appointment to use a school computer to complete the process. If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.
The Online Student Registration/Data validation system will provide:
A system which is secure and environmentally friendly
Parents will easily be able to enter / verify demographic, emergency contact, and medical information
Parents will electronically sign permission forms for school district policies
The system allows for digital upload of required documents
