Analysis: Wood Dale pays $3.08 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wood Dale Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.3 percent of the $1,359,489 the Wood Dale Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.08 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wood Dale contributed $1,023,960 to the fund, which saw a $176,263 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $332,138, or 24.4 percent, in 2016. Another $3,391 came from other unspecified sources.
