Analysis: Itasca pays $3.21 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Itasca Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.3 percent of the $924,100 the Itasca Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.21 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Itasca contributed $704,812 to the fund, which saw a $30,652 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $219,287, or 23.7 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
