Analysis: Clarendon Hills pays $5.71 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Clarendon Hills Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.1 percent of the $56,698 the Clarendon Hills Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.71 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Clarendon Hills contributed $48,259 to the fund, which saw a $13,602 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $8,438, or 14.9 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
