Analysis: Bloomingdale pays $3.40 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bloomingdale Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.9 percent of the $1,672,096 the Bloomingdale Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.40 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bloomingdale contributed $1,285,263 to the fund, which saw a $4,855 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $377,568, or 22.6 percent, in 2016. Another $9,265 came from other unspecified sources.
