Roskam challenger Casten raised $907K ahead of primary victory

Sean Casten raised $69 per vote cast for him in the 6th Congressional District Democratic primary race last week, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

In all, the contentious primary raised $2.8 million. Casten will take on incumbent U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam in November.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform analyzed how much candidates in the most contested state races raised per vote they received in the Illinois Primary on March 20. The analysis is based on contributions disclosures between Jan. 1, 2017, and March 20.
