DuPage County Sheriff's Merit Commission met October 26.
Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:
Meeting convened at 8:37 a.m. in room 3500B of the Jack T. Knuepfer Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL.
Chairman Reyes, Commissioner Smith, Commissioner Vasbinder and Assistant Patti Weber were in attendance.
Ms. Weber requested that an item pertaining to the bid process for a background investigation company be added to the agenda for discussion. The Commission discussed the bid responses and asked Ms. Weber to contact the references listed in the responses.
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to go into executive session pursuant to Section 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act to consider the employment of specific employees of a public body. Motion by Commissioner Smith. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to return from executive session to go into open session at 9:44 a.m. Motion by Commissioner Smith. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Upon motion, duly seconded and adopted, candidates 1139 and 1140 were certified. Candidate 1136 was not certified.
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion by Commissioner Smith. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll Call. All ayes. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
