The calls in Hinsdale included 35 fires - 12 structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $166,500 in fire loss - or about $4,757 per fire.
The department also received 489 false calls, including six malicious calls and 483 other false calls.
The Hinsdale Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 22 active employees and 29 retired or inactive employees, was $1,283,588 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $36,674 for every fire in 2016.
