The calls in Glenside included 77 fires - 50 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 15 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $270,110 in fire loss - or about $3,508 per fire.
The department also received 423 false calls, including 13 malicious calls and 410 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Glenside FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 13 active employees and 18 retired or inactive employees, was $739,196 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $9,600 for every fire in 2016.
