Wheaton drivers should anticipate temporary lane closures on West Street over the next several weeks, the city announced recently.
Wheaton is replacing the water main on West Street between Childs Street and Roosevelt Road. While West Street will not be closed for the duration of the project, work crews will institute temporary closures of some lanes throughout the project, which is expected to be completed by mid-September.
The city urges drivers to be cautious as they move through the work zone be particularly mindful of work crews.
