Northern Illinois University's campus in Naperville will host this year’s Chicagoland Safety, Health and Environmental Conference from Sept. 18 to 21, bringing business professionals from various fields together for a range of training sessions, according to a press release.
The conference offers 90-minute, three-hour and full-day training sessions and is ideal for business owners, plant managers, municipality officials, risk management and human resources professionals, lawyers and union officials and members, among other professionals, the press release said.
Training will cover compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as safety, industrial hygiene, environmental management and professional development. Last year’s conference attracted 400 attendees from 17 states and communities throughout Illinois, with sessions bearing an average class size of 21 participants.
The conference will host a business expo followed by a social cocktail event to facilitate networking on Sept. 20, and the final day of the conference will culminate with a keynote address from Robert Sams, who brings more than two decades of experience in risk and safety felds.
The Chicagoland EHS Golf Outing at the Village Greens of Woodridge follows the event on Sept. 22 and promises to be a fun event even for non-golfers, the press release said.
