Rep. David S. Olsen (R-Downers Grove) is offering area residents the change to come exercise from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Downers Grove Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road.
Exercise their right to make their voices heard to a legislator, that is.
Olsen, who represents District 81, is encouraging residents to come ask questions, bring up concerns about state issues and get more information about services that Olsen's office offers, according to Olsen's website. No appointments are needed.
“I enjoy talking one on one with the people I represent in Springfield so I can learn about the issues that are important to them,” Olsen said in the news release. “I hope to see many residents of the 81st Legislative House District at this or future mobile office-hours events throughout the district.”
Olsen was appointed to his representative seat in July 2016 and elected in November to a full term, his online biography said. He previously was mayor pro tem of the Downers Grove Village Council and vice chairman of the College of DuPage Board of Trustees.
District 81 includes parts of DuPage and Will counties.
