Glen Ellyn Plan Commission will meet May 25.

Here is the agenda provided by the Commission:

1. Call to Order.

2. Public Comment (non-agenda items).

3. Approval of April 13, 2017 Plan Commission Minutes.

4. Public Hearing – Zoning Code Text Amendments. Public hearing with discussion, consideration and recommendation regarding proposed zoning code text amendments related to Village development review processes. The amendments would provide more opportunities for administrative approval to expedite Village processes and include changes to the approval processes for minor variations to the residential zoning code, special use permits, planned unit developments, and major subdivisions.

5. Pre-application Meeting – 765-787 Harding Avenue. Pre-application conference regarding a proposed 31-unit townhome development on property commonly known as 765-787 Harding Avenue. The subject property is located on the south side of Harding Avenue and borders Route 53 to the east. The site is zoned R2 Residential zoning district. As part of the project, the petitioner would be requesting that the property be rezoned to the R4 Residential zoning district.

This note provides you with information regarding what happens to a petition after it has appeared before the Plan Commission. After the Commission makes a recommendation on a petition, a report of the meeting is prepared. Then, the petition, along with the summary report and all pertinent material, is scheduled for consideration by the Village Board. The Village Board meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in a meeting room on the third floor of the Civic Center, 535 Duane Street. Questions regarding petitions scheduled for review by the Village Board should be directed to the Planning and Development Department at (630) 547-5250.
