Rep. David Olsen (R-Downers Grove) will be giving one lucky student a chance to experience something special this summer: an internship at his Downers Grove office.
Olsen posted the announced on Facebook after welcoming students to see how the Illinois government works at the Capitol earlier in May.
“This summer I am offering one rising high school senior or college student an opportunity to do a paid internship in my Downers Grove office,” Olsen posted.

He also outlined the duties and responsibilities of the position.
“As an intern for the 81st Legislative House District, this individual will learn about the inner workings of a legislative office while assisting my District Office Director and me with important projects," he wrote.
Although Olsen has not yet announced his choice of an intern, applications for the positions ended on May 22.
