5. Consider a Resolution of the Village of Villa Park, DuPage County, Illinois, Authorizing the Joint Purchase of Bulk Rock Salt through DuPage County’s Procurement Services Division

The Village annually purchases rock salt through an agreement with the DuPage County Procurement Service Division. DuPage generally receives favorable prices because of the large quantity of salt that it purchases. Village staff recommends entering into a contract with DuPage County Procurement Service Division for 500 tons of bulk rock salt. $75,000 is budgeted for fiscal year 2017/2018 in Street Division account 10.525.27.341 for this purpose.

6. Consider a Resolution of the Village of Villa Park, DuPage County, Illinois, Authorizing the Joint Purchase of Bulk Rock Salt through the State of Illinois’ Central Management Services Bureau of Strategic Sourcing

The Village annually purchases rock salt through an agreement with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS). The State of Illinois generally receives favorable prices because of the large quantity of salt that it purchases. The Village must submit its rock salt needs through a contract with the State of Illinois by April 1, 2017. Village staff recommends entering into a contract with the State of Illinois for 500 tons of bulk rock salt. $75,000 is budgeted for fiscal year 2017/2018 in Street Division account 10.525.27.341 for this purpose.

7. Consider an Ordinance of the Village of Villa Park, DuPage County, Illinois, Authorizing the Trade-In Value with Landmark Ford Inc. for Truck #23 in the Amount of $9,500

At the February 13 Board Meeting, the purchase of one (1) 2017 Ford F-450 Crew-Cab 2WD truck with Utility Body from Landmark Ford Inc., of Springfield Illinois was approved by the Board. Landmark Ford Inc. has offered a trade-in value of $9,500 for Vehicle #23 (a 2008 Ford F-450 Crew-Cab with Utility Body). Village Staff requests authorization to trade-in Vehicle #23 for the quoted amount of $9,500.
