Friends of Darren Tillis owes $5,250 in fines

The campaign committee Friends of Darren Tillis owes a $5,000 fine imposed on Aug. 31, 2016, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $250 with Darren Tillis listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 172 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $995,091 in pending fines.
