Westmont Planning & Zoning Commission to review special use request to build a public park in a residential area

Westmont Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8.

The Planning & Zoning Commission provides research and advice to the Village Board in the guidance of the physical development of Westmont as well as hears requests for variances in the zoning code. Commission activities include approval of subdivision plats, zoning requests, special use permits, code amendments and other matters referred to it by the Mayor and Village Board. Long-range planning is concerned with the future development of the community. This is done under the auspices of a Master Plan, which is revised from time to time by the Commission.

PZ 17­002 Clover’s Garden Center, LLC regarding the property located at 201 West Ogden Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559 for the following:

(A) Special Use Permit renewal for a period of five years to allow for the continuation of a seasonal open sales lot in the B‐2 General Business District.

PZ 17­003 Westmont Park District regarding the properties located at 5716 South Wilmette Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559 for the following:

(A) Special Use Permit request to construct a public park in the R‐3 Single Family Detached Residence District.
