Wayne Township Supervisor candidate Art Pierscionek, who is facing former state Rep. Randy Ramey in the Republican primary today, took to social media to thank Examiner Publications Inc. for its endorsement last week.
"I am both grateful and proud that the Examiner has endorsed me in my bid for Wayne Township Supervisor," Pierscionek posted. "I hope my fellow Bartlett residents can come out and support me for the February 28th Primary."
The newspaper praised Pierscionek for his efforts to combat waste and corruption in Wayne Township. It indicated that his experience as a trustee for the Bartlett Fire Protection District and active volunteer work in the community will make him an asset as the township supervisor.
He has also shown a willingness to speak out against the Bartlett and School District U-46 governing bodies. He took a leadership role in protecting a sensitive flood plain against development. As an IT professional with management experience, he has the necessary experience in managing an organization, according to the endorsement.
Examiner Publications ended its endorsement with: "Pierscionek is a scrappy politician and serious about reforming Wayne Township. He is endorsed."
No Democratic candidates have stepped up to run against the primary winner in the April election.
