8. Ordinances and resolutions

a) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR CORPORATE PURPOSES FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON THE FIRST DAY OF MAY, 2016 AND ENDING ON THE THIRTIETH DAY OF APRIL, 2017 At their meeting on December 5th, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which levies the 2016 property taxes for corporate purposes for the current fiscal year. The Committee recommended approval and first reading was given at the Village Board meeting on December 5th. Second reading is requested.

b) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE ABATING TAXES HERETOFORE LEVIED TO PAY INTEREST AND PRINCIPAL ON $6,900,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 2006C, OF THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON, DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, FOR THE YEAR 2016 At their meeting on December 5th, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which abates the 2016 property tax levies of the 2006C general obligation bond issue. The Committee recommended approval and first reading was given at the Village Board meeting on December 5th. Second reading is requested.

j) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE VILLAGE CODE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CLASS “D” LIQUOR LICENSES FOR BRIKI CAFÉ

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which amends Chapter 3 of the Village Code to increase the number of Class “D” liquor licenses for Briki Café, to be located at 1435-1455 W. Lake Street. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

k) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which authorizes the disposal of surplus property owned by the Village. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

l) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-50 OF ARTICLE X OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE ADDISON VILLAGE CODE (HOTEL-MOTEL ROOM TAX)

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which amends Chapter 8 of the Village Code pertaining to the Hotel- Motel Room Tax. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

m) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE O-15- 67 APPROVING A TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (JC PLAZA NEW SITE PROJECT)

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance which appeals Ordinance O-15-67 approving a TIF Redevelopment agreement for JC Plaza. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

n) CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A DESIGN ENGINEERING QUOTE SUBMITTED BY TROTTER AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE 2017 BYRON AVENUE WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT AND RESURFACING PROJECT

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Resolution, which accepts a design engineering quote from Trotter and Associates Inc. for the 2017 Byron Avenue Watermain Replacement and Resurfacing Project. The Committee recommended approval and the Attorney is asked to read the Resolution.

o) CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSAL FOR WEBSITE DESIGN SERVICES FROM REVIZE GOVERNMENT WEBSITES

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Resolution, which accepts a proposal for website design services from Revize Government Websites. The Committee recommended approval and the Attorney is asked to read the Resolution.
