Westmont enviornmental commission creates climate plan timeline

The Village of Westmont Environmental Improvement Commission met July 11 to create a Climate Action Plan timeline.

In attendance: Glenn Gabryel, Mary McAuliffe, Pam Ristau, Brittany Smith, and Tyler

Tieche. Absent: Mary Gabryel, Kim Lombardozzi, Erin Kennedy and Bob Van Hyfte.

Staff in attendance: None.

4. Vision for the CAP

The Village of Westmont Climate Action Plan creates goals, measures progress and

advocates for a sustainable environment in our community by focusing on natural

resources, transportation, recycling and waste diversion, and environmental

conservation.

5. Discussion of current ideas on each topic area and modification of work documents

6. Review of collected data

Discussion of use of example report

Brittany suggested creation of a timeline/roadmap to aid CAP document progress

Action Items:

Tyler Tieche to create a timeline/roadmap document

Mary McAuliffe and Pam Ristau to follow up on requests to obtain information

from Waste Management for legislative update
