The Lake Park High School Boosters Club is holding a “Strive4Good” shoe-collection fundraiser through Sept. 30, announced the club's website, lphsboosters.org.
The club is collecting used, new and gently worn athletic shoes for repurposing. The funds raised from the repurposing will go to the club.
Shoes can be dropped off at the school's east and west campuses; the park districts for Roselle, Bloomingdale, Itasca and Medinah; and at the main park district and the tennis facility in Hanover.
Shoe collection will also take place during the homecoming football game, which is against Naperville North at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the West Campus Stadium.
