Westmont Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

Engineering Agreement - CBD Alley Reconstruction Project

Board to consider an ordinance authorizing an engineering agreement with Thomas Engineering Group for Phase 1 & 2 Design Engineering Services for the proposed Central Business District (CBD) Alley Reconstruction Project (Section F).

Request to approve the sum of $58,309.70 for Phase 1 & 2 Design Engineering Services for the proposed Central Business District (CBD) Alley Reconstruction Project (SecF). Section F is the alley bounded by Cass and Linden between Norfolk and Chicago.

Project consists of the reconstruction of the alley with "green" initiatives (brick pavers, pervious materials, etc) and other related work similar to what is being used for SecA and SecB.

Staff recommends approval of the proposal in the amount of $58,309.70 for Ph1 and 2 Design Engineering Services for the CBD Alley Reconstruction Project (SecF) Project.

Video Gaming - Terminal Cap Discussion

Board to discuss the potential capping of video gaming terminal licenses for video gaming establishments, or other video gaming restrictions.

Development Committee recommended the Village Board discuss limiting the number of licenses permitted for video gaming terminals after discussions at the EDC meeting on 8/3 and CDC meeting on 8/4.

Concerns have been expressed by staff regarding the amount of video gaming in Westmont, its effect on redevelopment, the perception in the community and the amount of office time necessary to process applications.
