Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 70.7 percent of Willowbrook High School's (WHS) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For WHS, its college enrollment rate marks a decline since 2014, when 71.6 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.
The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two- and four-year colleges.
Enrollment at WHS in 2015 was 2,010; 544 (27.06 percent) were seniors.
Also according to ISBE, 49.8 percent of WHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, versus an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
Among high schools in DuPage, the class of 2015 college readiness rates at Hinsdale Central High School (87.1 percent), Neuqua Valley High School (85.9 percent), Wheaton North High School (71.3 percent), Westmont High School (56 percent), Glenbard North High School (55.7 percent), and Nashville Community High School (54.9 percent) were all higher than at WHS. Fenton High School (40.5 percent) and Woodstock North High School (43.6 percent) were lower.
WHS students did better on reading (40.2 percent) and English (65.5 percent) and worse on science (34.3 percent) and math (38.2 percent).
Only 22.7 percent of WHS students were college ready in all four subjects, according to ISBE.
