The DuPage County, Illinois Sheriff's Merit Commission met yesterday to hold a closed executive session.
The purpose of the closed session was to discuss "the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body." The commission was also scheduled to conduct one-on-one interviews.
The Sheriff’s Merit Commission supervises all full-time deputy sheriffs, as well as other positions as provided by the County Board. The commission’s responsibilities include reviewing applications to positions under its jurisdiction and certifying applicants as qualified and setting forth the minimum requirements for applicants to be considered for a position.
