St. Charles Historic Preservation Commission discusses facade improvements

Meeting

The Historic Preservation Commission of St. Charles, Illinois met yesterday to discuss facade improvement grants for two properties.

The properties reviewed include 11 S. Second Ave. (awnings) and 116 W. Main St. for storefront renovations.

The commission also discussed landmark research during the meeting.

The commission's next meeting has been scheduled for May 4.

The Historic Preservation Commission duties include reviewing façade improvements and building permits for exterior work within the city's historic district. The commission also consults on projects for historic buildings.
