Construction is underway on the Elgin O'Hare Western Access Corridor project, requiring numerous lane reductions and temporary nighttime lane closures within certain areas of eastbound and westbound I-290.
Any required detour routes will be posted.
The three left lanes of westbound I-290 between Irving Park Road and Devon Avenue will be closed beginning at 11 p.m. Monday, March 28. Full intermittent stops on westbound I-290 will occur between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 29. The ramp from eastbound State Route 390 to westbound I-290 will close with a posted detour from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 29.
