Elmhurst Public Works to focus on stormwater management

Elmhurst

Stormwater management will be the focus of the agenda Monday when the Elmhurst Public Works and Building Committee convenes at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 209 North York St.

The committee will cover the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the city and the Elmhurst Park District, which provides for the construction, operation and maintenance of facilities to improve the flow of stormwater in and around Golden Meadows Park.

A draft copy of the IGA will be reviewed at the meeting.

There will also be discussions regarding the stormwater management policy for existing homes, newly constructed homes and non-residents as well as an updated report on the results of a recent stormwater survey.

Other items on the agenda include the painting of elevated storage tanks by Resident Engineering Services, replacement of the WRF south digester cover and mixing system, purchase of fire hydrant materials and the 2016 contract paving program.
