Willowbrook Board of Trustees discusses plans to convert shopping plaza into school

Willowbrook

The Willowbrook Board of Trustees, led by Mayor Frank Trilla, tackled icy sidewalks and service contracts at its monthly meeting on Tuesday at the Burr Ridge Police Department.

Following opening proceedings and the approval of minutes, the board heard public comment, which included concerns from several residents on the icy conditions of sidewalks and lack of snow plowing in their neighborhood.

The board also reviewed and approved accounts payable warrants from January and discussed the bids for several pending service contracts for 2016.

Finally, the board took a recommendation from the Plan Commission regarding Case 16-01, which is the petition for a special use permit allowing the conversion of the buildings covering 800-900 75th St. from the Willowbrook Plaza Shopping Center into the Holtz Educational Center, a proposed 7,216-square-foot school.
