Republican candidate for the State House District 46 Heidi Holan is hosting a Property Tax Forum 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Sugar Creek Golf Course, located at 500 East Van Buren, in Villa Park.
During the forum, Holan promises to provide facts and lay out solutions regarding the financial crisis in the state of Illinois and tell residents what needs to be done in order to experience relief from DuPage County’s rising tax bills.
"[If you] think your property taxes are too high,” Holan said, “join me Monday evening along with experts who will provide helpful information and answer your questions. Everyone wants property tax relief. Let's work together to find the best way to make it happen.”
The forum, entitled the "Illinois Community Project," will feature special presenters Ted Dabrowski, VP of Policy at the Illinois Policy Institute, and Deanna Wilkins, York Township assessor. The pair will lead participants through discussions, answer questions and recommend solutions to Illinois' economic and fiscal problems.
