Heidi Holan pledges to control spending, reduce debt
Heidi Holan, Republican candidate for the Illinois House for District 46, recently stated her positions on several key issues and highlighted the qualities that differentiate her from her opponents in a published candidate profile.
“Do you ever feel like the power over your life and money sits in Springfield?” Holan asks. “Are you sick of political games and the apparently fruitless battle over the budget to spend your tax money? Have you ever considered leaving Illinois because of the pressures of high property taxes or strangling business regulations? You are not alone!”
Holan explained that she and her family have lived in Glen Ellyn for 32 years and continue to feel the burden of high property taxes.
“(We’ve) put down roots, raised our sons and we want to stay here – in our neighborhood,” she said. “Unfortunately, like many of you, we have been dismayed to see our property taxes grow at a rate much faster than our income and inflation. Our sons are now young men and preparing to launch out on their own, and it saddens me that they see opportunities to thrive and succeed in almost any state except Illinois. “
Holan reiterated that these and other issues are the driving force behind her decision to run for the Illinois State Senate. Her platform includes a commitment to represent all citizens, provide hope by controlling spending and reducing debt, and offer more opportunity for business growth and ultimately more jobs.
“Send me to Springfield and I will work toward those goals with every action I take,” Holan said. “You can help me protect your liberties and those of all Illinois citizens. I invite you to take back your power.”
