The Lombard Community Promotion and Tourism Committee will review Local Tourism Grant applications at its regular meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Village Hall Community Room, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
The grants, which are funded with local area hotel and motel tax proceeds, are awarded to event planners and organizations to offset the costs of executing the events and offer an incentive to bring festivals and other activities to Lombard.
Those seeking grants include the
Glenbard East High School Boosters ($10,000) for the Third Annual Ale Fest, set for June 11; the Lombard Historical Society ($8,550) for a Civil War re-enactment, set for July 22-24; and Lombard Town Centre ($2,150) for the Spooktacular event, set for Oct. 16.
