The Village of Woodridge Board of Trustees is expected to approve an ordinance to authorize and grant a franchise to Northern Illinois Gas Company (NICOR Gas) to construct, operate and maintain a natural gas distributing system for the village, during its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Werch Board Room, 5 Plaza Drive.
The ordinance is part of a regional intergovernmental consortium authorizing gas service.
The board also will review several other pending contracts for services during 2016, including water-system leak-detection and surveying, as well as root removal and closed-circuit broadcasting of sewage basins.
The board will consider ordinances, resolutions and motions, including those concerning open-house signs and the purchase of parkway trees.
