As part of its partnership with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, the City of Aurora is reaching out to residents, business owners and other stakeholders throughout the community in search of ideas and feedback for the development of the Downtown Aurora Master Plan.
To that end, the city will hold a Downtown Aurora Master Plan Workshop 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, January 21, at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum, 53 N. Broadway.
The workshop is part of a process to enhance the current long-term plan to upgrade services, facilities and lifestyles in Downtown Aurora.
Participants at the workshop will be able to review the plan and make suggestions on how to improve the area’s attractions, entertainment options, transit options and overall economic development.
If you plan to attend the workshop, please RSVP to City of Aurora Planner Alex Minnella, at 630-256-3080 or via e-mail at aminnella@aurora-il.org.
Stakeholders unable to attend can share their ideas online at aurora-draft.metroquest.com. For additional information on the downtown master plan, visit www.cmap.illinois.gov/programs-and-resources/lta/aurora.
