St. Charles Preservation Commission to discuss museum walking tour tonight

With a discussion of the city museum's walking tour on the agenda,, the St. Charles Historic Preservation Commission will meet for the first time in 2016 at 7 p.m. today in the Council Chambers Committee Room at the Municipal Center, 2 E. Main Street.

 

In addition to a discussion of the St. Charles History Museum Walking Tour, the commission will examine road-sign concerns on East Main Street, landmark research and mail-order homes.

The commission also is expected to announce that the next meeting will be Jan. 20.

The St. Charles Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for permits and consultations tied to projects in the city's historic district and to historical buildings. It consists of seven members, each serving a three-year term. The commission meets 7-9 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of every month in the Council Chambers Committee Room at the Municipal Center, 2 E. Main Street.
