The St. Charles Government Operations Committee will meet immediately after the City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 2 E. Main St.
Items on the agenda under Police Department business include consideration of an Onesti Entertainment Corp. request for a Class B liquor license for its Club Arcadia, a new business on the third floor of 105 E. Main St.
The committee also will consider a request for a Class B liquor license for Title House, a new business that will move into the former Starbucks site at 101 E. Main St.
Under Public Works Department business, the committee will consider a real estate purchase agreement for property at 904 South Ave.
There also is an executive session on the agenda, during which personnel, pending litigation, probable or imminent litigation, property acquisition or collective bargaining issues are regularly discussed.
Also, with the committee's approval, Alderman Arthur Lemke will attend this meeting by phone due to illness.
The St. Charles Government Operations Committee acts as a committee of the whole. All city council members are part of this group, which oversees the municipal code, litigation, liquor licenses, labor negotiations, personnel and safety manuals for employees and all financial matters concerning the city. It also surveys budgets, bonding, insurance, investment and purchasing. The committee meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, immediately following City Council sessions in Council Chambers.
