The St. Charles Youth Commission will discuss Challenge Grants for the upcoming year at its next meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Police Department's Conference Room, 211 N. Riverside Ave.
In addition to discussing the grants, the commission will hear reports from its liaisons to various community organizations, including the school district, park district, police department, library and TriCity Family Services.
The Youth Commission's goal is to organize and utilize the city's services through grants for the welfare of the city's youths.
The chairwoman of the commission is Nancy McFarland, with Daniel Kelly serving as secretary and Cliff Hime as treasurer. Other members include Jeffrey Wong, Marianne Weick, Carolyn Waibel, Susan Schwerdtfeger, Kristen Kauke, Jim Diorio and Stacy Anderson.
