The Village of Bensenville Board of Trustees recently held its regular meeting.

Following routine housekeeping duties, the board opened the floor to public comments, which included a discussion of efforts to reduce nighttime airplane noise from the south runways of nearby O’Hare Airport.

A request to turn over the unincorporated White Pines water system to DuPage County also was discussed.

Trustees also reviewed several pending accounts-payable warrants, bond payments and tax ordinances. There also was a discussion of a planned job fair for the new Jewel/Osco grocery store, which also includes a Starbucks coffee shop. The store is scheduled to open on Jan. 15, 2016.

The meeting continued with the Village Attorney Report from Pat Bond. An executive session followed to discuss the village’s pending acquisition of the property at 108 Brookwood Street for “corporate purposes.”

Prior to adjournment, trustees also approved a resolution authorizing the execution of a consulting agreement between the village government and Westbrook Strategic Consultants.
